What does a contemporary creative campus look like, where future generations of design students research, work and learn creative thinking? It is time for us - as designers, but above all for the students - to deal with how the environment ›Campus‹ will be designed, used and experienced in the future. Because in this environment many designers are laying the foundations for their professional as well as social life.
From our own experience, we have learned that a purely physical space does not yet create a creative environment. It has to be filled with content and brought to life by a student culture. In order to answer the question of ›Where we want to study in the future?‹, we must first ask ourselves ›How we want to study in the future?‹
The HfG Offenbach, the PBSA Düsseldorf and the design department of the Kunsthochschule Kassel invited to the workshop »My Future Campus« at Vitra in Weil am Rhein. For two days, questions were jointly discussed about the future of creative education and then concepts were developed.
